An Upland education may be more affordable than you think.
How do I apply for financial assistance?
Upland uses Clarity, an independent financial aid platform to help determine awards.
Clarity’s user-friendly, intuitive, mobile-responsive application can be completed in one sitting in 15 minutes or less. Instead of scanning, uploading or mailing prior year tax documents, families simply complete an e-signature form, and Clarity can pull their verified 1040 directly from the IRS.
Required Documents for 2025/2026 School Year:
- Completed Clarity Application
- 2023 1040 tax return with all relevant Schedules
- 2023 W-2s for all relevant parents
- 2024 W-2s and tax documents (when available)
- 2024 1040 tax return (if/when available)
Are there payment plan options?
Upland offers two unique tuition Payment Plans to help families better afford the cost of tuition. Payment Plan availability is subject to date restrictions. See below for details:
Full Payment Plan –
The NET Tuition (less Enrollment Deposit) is due by June 30th of your enrollment year. Any account that is paid-in-full prior to July 1 is eligible for a 1.5% Early-Full Pay Discount. If newly enrolling after July 1, the full payment is due within 10 days of the signed contract to be eligible for the Early Full Pay Discount
Monthly SMART Tuition Payment Plan –
The NET Tuition Balance will be divided into equal monthly payments and paid through the SMART Tuition system, a third-party tuition payment management system. Payments may begin as early as May of your enrollment year (max of 10 payments total), but the account must be paid in full before March 1 of the academic year in order for the student to be eligible to participate in end-of-year events.
Are there any discounts available?
Upland Country Day School is proud to offer the following discounts:
Early-Full Pay Discount
- Any and all persons paying the full value of tuition by June 30, or for new and mid-year enrollments, paid-in-full within 10 calendar days of contract signing, will receive a 1.5% discount.
Multi-Sibling Discount
- Full tuition for the first student, 10% discount for each additional student. A Multi-Sibling Discount is offered to families who pay in full for all children, regardless of payment plan selected. Families who receive financial aid, tuition remission, scholarship, or any other financial assistance from Upland for any child attending Upland do not qualify for the multi-sibling discount.
*Note: Families who have multi-siblings and pay full tuition by June 30 are eligible for both the Early-Full Pay Discount and the Multi-Sibling Discount .
Do you require a deposit?
There is a $2,000 per student enrollment deposit.
Important Dates & Deadlines
- November 4th: Clarity Financial Aid application opens for all applicants.
- Mid December: 2025/2026 tuition schedule published on the website.
- December 31st: Clarity Financial Aid application closes.
- January 4th: In order to be considered for first round of enrollment decisions, all application materials should be submitted.
- January 20th:Tuition invoice sent via email from the business office for currently enrolled students.
- February 3rd:Enrollment decisions announced for new BeeSchool Preschool applicants.
- February 10th:Tuition deposit due for returning students.
- February 10th: Students who are not returning, must notify the Admissions Office of their plans in writing by this date.
- February 18th: Enrollment decisions announced for new students (PreK-9th)
- March 10th: Contracts and deposits are due back for newly enrolled students.
- May 1st: Smart Tuition billing begins for families who elect this payment option.
- June 30th: Tuition due for families who elect the pay-in-full option.
Financial Aid
Upland is committed to enrolling outstanding students with consideration for each family’s unique financial circumstances.
Aid is only awarded to families with a demonstrated financial need. Awards are based on the family’s ability to pay and the availability of Upland Country Day School’s financial aid funds. Not all families who qualify for financial assistance will receive aid and may be placed into a waiting pool.
