Upland Welcomes Michael Kerrigan as Chief Financial Officer
Upland Country Day School is pleased to welcome Michael Kerrigan as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), bringing more than 13 years of experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, and consulting to the school’s leadership team.
Kerrigan joins Upland after serving as Director of Strategic Projects at AdaptHealth, a national home healthcare company. His career also includes consulting roles at Ernst & Young, Accenture, and KPMG, where he developed extensive experience in financial operations, strategic planning, and organizational efficiency.
For Kerrigan, the move to Upland represents an opportunity to apply his experience in a more personal and meaningful setting, where the impact of his work can be seen and felt throughout the school community.
“My independent school experience shaped who I am, and I believe these schools are an important part of the educational landscape,” said Kerrigan. “From the moment I first learned about Upland, it was clear this was a special place, and walking the campus confirmed it. Using my skillset to serve this community is a privilege.”
An independent school graduate himself, Kerrigan attended Blair Academy before earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University, where he served as captain of the track team and earned All-American honors. He later earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
“Michael brings an impressive depth of financial and operational experience, but what stood out to me was his genuine interest in being part of our school community,” said Head of School Andy White. “He understands the value of an independent school education and sees this role as an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. We’re excited to have him on our team.”
As CFO, Kerrigan will oversee Upland’s financial operations and business office, helping ensure the school’s resources support its mission, programs, and long-term sustainability.
